This opening event of the GLORC project brought together discussions on the historical and conceptual foundations of Romanian comparatism. The workshop also marked the launch of the Romanian translation of Creolizing the Modern: Transylvania across Empires, in the presence of its authors, Anca Parvulescu and Manuela Boatcă, linking the project’s research agenda to broader debates on inter-imperial modernity and comparative method.
