ACLA 2025 – Genealogies of World Comparatism

GLORC team members participated in the ACLA 2025 seminar Genealogies of World Comparatism, devoted to alternative histories of comparative literature and world-literary thought. Papers by members of the team examined early East-Central European comparatism, inter-imperial models of Weltliteratur, and the transnational genealogies of comparative literary studies.

MLA 2026 – Figures in Central and East European Comparatism
8–11 January 2026, Toronto
Members and collaborators of the GLORC project took part in MLA 2026 panels devoted to Central and East European comparatism, including Figures in Central and East European Comparatism: Comparative Cultural Geographies and Figures in Central and East European Comparatism: Identities across Borders. These sessions highlighted comparative cultural geographies, multilingual literary histories, and cross-border models of literary comparison in the region.
