31 October – 2 November 2024, Babeș-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca
The workshop examined the institutional and intellectual history of early East-European comparatism through the legacy of Acta Comparationis Litterarum Universarum, the first international journal of comparative literature. Bringing together keynote lectures by Angus Nicholls, Szabó Levente, Manuela Boatcă, and Christian Moraru, alongside papers by members of the GLORC team, the event explored comparative methods, multilingualism, inter-imperial literary cultures, and alternative genealogies of world comparatism.
